Information Security Officer
Location: Dalgety Bay, Fife, UK
About the Role:
Ingenico NER operates a number of client-facing and back-office services which deal with various categories of information, with Ingenico acting as a data controller and as a data processor under the instruction of our partners and customers.
Within this context, this role requires the leadership and management of Ingenico’s NER’s information security strategy and policies, as well as acting as a subject-matter expert providing guidance to others on good practice around operational security matters, to ensure that we have the appropriate level of governance, transparency, controls and evidence to demonstrate that we have a robust information security framework.
In addition to the core discipline, the role will require strong customer-facing skills, specifically around the coordination and tracking of customer-led audits of Ingenico’s information security posture and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
The Information Security Officer provides the business and clients with a central point of ownership of Ingenico NERs information security framework. Specifically, the role will encompass the following key responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of business plan and effective operation of the Quality and Compliance team
- Develop, implement and maintain an overarching information governance/information security strategy, including:
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams across the business to promote adherence to policy and procedures and good practice around information classification, handling and security controls
- Actively gather intelligence from across the information security landscape and target dissemination/training to inform our practice
- Serve as a key interface to Ingenico Group functions related to information security
- Respond to customer information security queries and formal information requests
- Maintain the Ingenico NER data controller/data processing record in liaison with process/system owners, including records of consent
- Manage and respond to data subject access requests
- Implement data breach policy and manage notification/escalation process
- Promote and protect Ingenico and the Quality and Compliance team’s reputation the in course of any engagement or general business activity
- Information classification and handling standards/processes/controls, including data retention policies
- IT Security Policy
- Governance and internal audit framework
- Customer audit engagement process, and remediation plan management
Skills and Competencies:
- A degree from a leading university in a technical subject, software engineering preferred
- 3+ years of experience in an information security SME role
- Proven experience of working within a professional, fast moving and challenging environment
- Ability to balance multiple demands and priorities whilst working on time and to budget
- Strong and credible technical authority in information security practices, from a software and services background
- Demonstrable experience of delivering a high standard of continuous improvement activities in the area of information security
- Demonstrable experience of managing stakeholder (all levels of seniority) expectation and satisfaction effectively
- Ability to rapidly absorb and apply process or technical information, with a logical and analytical approach to problem solving
- Able to work well in a cross-functional team environment, with the ability to develop and sustain good working relationships
- Hands-on, autonomous, self-motivated and must enjoy working within a changing & dynamic organisation
- Be able to work with customers (both internal & external) of all cultures
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) in English
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint & Visio
